Two suspected drug dealers have been arrested with crack cocaine, heroin and weapons on their persons after officers were called to an area of Easton on Wednesday (March 12). Both men are currently being held in cells by Avon and Somerset Police after being apprehended in the St Marks Road and Stapleton Road area.

Responding officers were alerted to the area after a tip-off of an alleged drug deal, discovering cannabis, crack cocaine and heroin, as well as a meat cleaver and a knuckle duster on the two men.

The duo, both in their twenties, were arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Avon and Somerset Police has reiterated its commitment to working with people living and working in Easton to tackle the issues that negatively impact their community.

Residents have been encouraged to play their part in helping reduce drug crime and anti-social behaviour in the area by contacting police with potential information to target drug dealers and tackle the associated crime and disorder which can blight communities.
