Bangor Hockey Club were crowned Anderson Cup champions as they beat South Antrim 3-2 in a thrilling final at Havelock Park.
A hat-trick from star man Ryan Burgess sealed the win and sees the club win their first ever major silverware.
It was the eventual champions who got off to the quicker start as Harris Massey was left unmarked in the circle before his reverse strike was saved by Ian Glass with just two minutes on the clock.
Just moments later the side won their first penalty corner of the tie as Ryan Burgess sent his effort straight at Glass with what proved to be a warning shot.
With the scores level at the end of the first quarter, it was South Antrim who broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute as Rory Brown saw his initial effort saved by Chris Kent before prodding in the rebound from close range.
However, it was a lead which wouldn’t last as on the brink of half-time, Ryan Burgess drew his side level from a trademark penalty corner to send the sides into the break level.

In a quick start to the second half, both sides had chances immediately after the break, but it was Glass and Kent who came out on top as both were called into action.
However, it was Bangor who struck once more as Burgess propelled his side into the lead from a second penalty corner effort of the evening.
Following the goal, things looked to be falling apart for the County Down side as they were soon reduced to eight players as Jack Magowan, Ryan Lyall and Ryan Burgess all received cards.
Then with just eight minutes remaining, South Antrim were offered a route back into the game after they were awarded a late penalty stroke for a foul on the byline.
Peter Milligan was the South Antrim player who took on the pressure penalty and remained calm to send Kent the wrong way and draw his side level once more.
But just as the Lisburn side thought things were going their way, they were on the back foot once more.
Immediately after the restart, it was Bangor who were awarded a penalty stroke with Ryan Burgess completing his hat-trick to restore his sides lead with just five minutes remaining.
A late chance for Jordan Robinson saw South go close to grabbing a another equaliser but he was denied at point blank range as Bangor held on to their slender advantage to be crowned champions.
