However, despite some support from fans, the show has suffered from largely negative reviews from UK publications.
Property expert Terry Fisher of We Buy Any Home told GB News that although the show might have sparked interest in the Californian property market, the duchess suffers from relatability with the average viewer.
He said: “For the average viewer, the homes and lifestyle shown in the series are far beyond reach. California already struggles with affordability, with median home prices significantly higher than most other US states.
“First-time buyers and middle-income earners often find themselves priced out of the market, particularly in coastal regions. So while the series will showcase the beauty and exclusivity of the region, it may also highlight the stark contrast between everyday buyers and the ultra-rich who can afford to live there.”

While viewers get to watch the duke and duchess’s life, ‘With Love, Meghan’ was not filmed in their home.
Meghan and Harry, who announced they would be stepping back from royal duties in January 2020, now reside in Montecito with their children.
The duchess chose to film at a nearby rental property owned by local philanthropists.
Her decision to film at this property, rather than her own home, was driven by her deep commitment to keeping her family’s life private.

He concluded: “California’s housing market also faces unique challenges, from rising property taxes to a lack of affordable housing.
“While the luxury market remains resilient – driven by celebrity appeal, prime locations, and international demand – there is an ongoing issue with housing supply for the wider population.
“Many buyers are looking beyond the state’s most glamorous neighbourhoods to find value, often relocating to more affordable regions or even out of state altogether. A show like Meghan’s may reinforce the dream of California living, but for most, it remains just that – a dream.”
“Ultimately, what the show does well is market the Californian dream – a vision of sun-soaked luxury, coastal retreats, and expansive estates. While this might not lead to a rush of new buyers, it certainly strengthens the image of California as the pinnacle of high-end real estate, a place where lifestyle and luxury go hand in hand.”
