The sun is starting to come out and that calls for one thing – a cool drink whilst relaxing in your local park – or strolling the high street. And just in time, the viral Iced Whipped Lattes are making a comeback at Costa Coffee – and they are here all-year-round.
Available in stores nationwide from March 6, meaning you can get your hands on them now, you can enjoy the indulgent beverages which are available in two flavours which we tried. We were given the opportunity to try this and their Nacho Chili Cheese and Chicken Toastie – and boy do we have thoughts on this! First up, their drinks.

A layered iced latte, a rich salted caramel sauce, a layer of your choice milk or dairy alternative and topped with a smooth whipped milky coffee. Stir it to blend the textures and flavours and enjoy this indulgent iced latte.

Costa’s Viral Iced Whipped Latte
Hailed as a drink for cold and warm days, there are two you can chose from with caramel and white chocolate up for grabs. We loved both and would choose this over a normal iced latte any day
It is smooth, thick and creamy – and if you love a very sweet drink, caramel is the one to go for. If you want something less sweet but something that will still satisfy your sweet tooth, the white chocolate is the one to go for – and it you really can’t taste the coffee at all.
The caramel and white chocolate flavour didn’t taste cheap or nasty either but instead tasted very rich and luxurious. The salted caramel gave it that edge compared to regular caramel while the white chocolate reminded me of marshmallow. On TikTok, some people even suggest getting a pump of hazelnut syrup with the chocolate one to make a drink that taste like Kinder Bueno
Nacho Chili Cheese and Chicken Toastie
If you like a toastie, chicken and nachos, you have hit the jackpot. with this returning item – and we just hope it’s here to stay. We tried this and needed another few after it was THAT good. It is full of flavour, it was served hot (we had it delivered to us) and the chicken pulled apart.
The chilli cheese and nacho cheese sauce added a punch – but not too much – so even if you don’t like a lot of heat, you will still love this. It also goes great with the whipped latte as it’s a balance between sweet and savoury.
What else did we try?
We tried their limited shot drinks. These are Innocent’s new 80ml Immunity Shot (Ginger & Tumeric) as well as the Gut Health Shot (Calcium & Apple Cider Vinegar). Available until Wednesday, April 2, these cost just £1 in participating stores. Just a heads up – it is strong, and a great way to kick start your day, especially if you are heading to the office.
We also gave their new Pistachio Chocolate Cookie Sandwich and their new Iced Chick Gingerbread Biscuit a go. The biscuit was great and sweet but the stand out to us was the cookie sandwich. The chocolate was perfect and and the cookie itself was soft and fluffy – very light too – so it is a perfect pairing with the latte as the last thing you want is walking around the shops or sitting in the office feeling stuffed and sick.
