Police have accused three teens, one 14 years old and two 15 years old, of pulling off a carjacking and are searching for a fourth suspect.
Toronto Police alleged that four bandits were travelling in a stolen Dodge Ram pickup at around 12:30 a.m. last Friday when they approached a motorist in the Don Mills Rd.-Lawrence Ave. area.
Two of the thugs pulled handguns while one was armed with a knife and the fourth had a sledgehammer, said police.
After obtaining the keys, the carjackers drove off in the victim’s vehicle and the Dodge Ram. A short time later, the Dodge Ram travelled through the intersection at Danforth and Donlands Aves. before hitting a telephone pole and a building.
Officers responded and captured two suspects. A third was taken into custody the next day. One remains outstanding.
A 15-year-old and a 14-year-old each face a charge of robbery with an offensive weapon and other offences. A 15-year-old faces a charge of robbery with a firearm and other offences.
