Home Bargains is fast becoming a favourite destination for those looking to spruce up their gardens this spring and summer. As the warmer weather draws near, many are considering new ways to enhance their outdoor spaces while sticking to a budget – including buying some new eye-catching solar-powered garden lights for as little as £5.
The bargain store boasts an array of ‘quirky’ and ‘colourful’ items guaranteed to inject some character into your garden or patio and make the space unique. Plus, with prices often lower than other retailers, you won’t have to compromise on style either with many options for under £10.
One product that’s been turning heads is Home Bargains’ new range of red solar lights priced at just under £5 a set, which “scream summer”. The Strawberry Shaped String Solar Lights, shaped like juicy pieces of fruit, come in packs of 10 and retail at £4.99.
Unlike other popular products, Home Bargains customers won’t need to scour their local garden centre for these. They can simply order a set or two for home delivery, but once stocks run out online, the only option will be to check availability in-store, reports the Mirror.
On the website, shoppers are told that the lights are a breeze to put up. Featuring “easy to install” attachments and a rechargeable battery, customers can look forward to “hassle-free lighting”.

The online product description states: “Brighten up your garden with the Firefly 10 Strawberry Shaped String Solar Lights! These delightful lights automatically illuminate at dusk, adding a whimsical glow to your outdoor space – perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere on patios or balconies.”
Shoppers took to the Dansway Money Saver Facebook page to comment on a photo of the lights, declaring them an absolute necessity. One claimed they were: “Perfect summer vibes”. Another added: “Oh my god! They just scream summer to me!” A third wrote: “How cute do these look! I want them all over the garden now!”
Someone else commented: “So pretty. Home Bargains [is] smashing it with these garden lights lately!” This isn’t the first time Home Bargains has captured the hearts of online bargain hunters. The retailer’s new garden range has made quite an impact over recent weeks.

Whimsical hot air balloon-shaped lights took social media by storm, with many fans eagerly hunting through stores to find them. With vibrant rainbow colours, the lights look just like the real deal and produce a gentle flame-like flicker when lit.
These lights, like the strawberry ones, boasted simple installation without the need for complex wiring. Earlier in the year, another conversation starter emerged from Home Bargains’ garden selection in the form of some charming £20 ornaments made out of fake grass.
People were smitten with the weather-resistant topiary designs shaped like teddy bears and puppies. You can peruse all that Home Bargains has to offer for your garden – including toys, plants, tools, lighting and furniture – online here.
