Pro-Palestinian protesters have occupied the Allianz building in London, just days after the group flew drone carrying a Palestinian flag above Twickenham Stadium during a Six Nations game.
Palestine Action doused the building of the insurance company in red paint “to represent the bloodshed of Palestinian people and Allianz’ role in the genocide in Gaza”.
A spokesperson for the group said: “By providing insurance, Allianz is directly enabling the production of Israeli weapons in Britain which are “battle-tested” on Palestinians.
“As all companies who work with Elbit should know by now, Palestine Action’s direct action campaign against them will not cease until their links with the Israeli weapons trade does. Allianz must drop Elbit.”

Yesterday, a drone flew a Palestine flag over the home of rugby as England took on Italy in the Six Nations at Twickenham.
The match continued but officials were left monitoring the skies in South West London after the object was spotted hovering above the Allianz Stadium.
Activists behind the drone confusion revealed Twickenham was targeted due to commercial ties with Elbit Systems – an Israeli defence contractor.
Today’s protest follows similar demonstrations against the offices of the German firm, with 15 locations across the UK and Europe being targeted in January.

In “a coordinated wave of actions across Europe”, the group doused buildings with red paint and smashed windows.
The group said that Elbit has continued to directly supply Israel with weapons from Britain “throughout the genocide in Gaza”.
