Lakeland has slashed the price of its ‘powerful’ TurboClean Floor Cleaner just in time for spring cleaning sprees across the nation. The mop, which promises to make hard floors gleam, is now available for £99.99, down from its usual price of £129.99. It’s a more affordable alternative to the leading cleaner on the market – Shark’s Steam Mop, which costs £159.99.

The Lakeland mop features two-speed settings tailored for wood and tiled floors, enabling you to sweep, clean, polish, and buff. It’s a cordless device boasting a long battery life and quick charging time, complemented by an ‘easy-to-use’ LED control panel.

The mop also includes LED lights to illuminate the floor and ensure no stains are overlooked. It has a 300ml water tank and a quiet operation at 65db noise level. In the reviews, one customer gave it a five-star rating: “The product cleans well, the battery lasts a good time and doesn’t take too long to charge.

The spray is very useful for stubborn marks. I’ve had it for two weeks and have used it a few times and I am very pleased with it. A lot easier than a mop and bucket and because it’s cordless there is no wire to get in the way as with my steam cleaner,” reports the Mirror.

Another buyer added: “Disappointed. The machine leaves streaks. I have tried it numerous times adjusting the quantity of water and limiting the amount of spray but the floor never looks clean.” A third commented: “Love this floor cleaner. Easy to operate, lightweight, cleans very well and doesn’t leave the floor soaking wet. The battery lasts well and charges quickly. Just the right size to store away in the cupboard with the vacuum. So pleased I decided to purchase this.”

A fourth buyer noted: “This floor cleaner is great. It sweeps the floor while being used as a cleaner washing the floor. It is easy to use and just glides over the floor. I was unsure about cleaning my floors without steam. Like my last cleaner from Lakeland which was a steam cleaner (But I needed not to have worried) This Turbo Cleaner cleans brilliantly. The only thing I’m not happy about is not being able to wash the pads.”

For shoppers seeking a more wallet-friendly option, Dunelm has slashed the price of the Russell Hobbs Steam and Clean Steam Mop by £15 – now at £35, down from £50. It’s ready to use in 15 seconds and will ‘revive sealed hard floors and refresh carpets’.

Vileda’s Steam Mop is also a best-seller in the cleaning market. At £74.99, it has three heat settings, a 400ml water tank and heats in 15 seconds. Its triangular-shaped head also makes it easier to tackle hard-to-reach corners.
