Princess Kate and Prince William have released a statement on building a better future just hours after the royals join King Charles and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Day Service today.

The Princess of Wales arrived in red after missing the event in 2024 as she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment after cancer was found in tests following a significant abdominal surgery.

The mother-of-two confirmed earlier this year that she was in remission after she announced she had completed her preventative chemotherapy treatment in September 2024.

She has since resumed royal duties and has undertaken joint public appearances with Prince William as well as solo engagements in 2025.

Upon arrival at Westminster Abbey, the royals were met by the Dean of Westminster.

The royal couple then greeted members of the Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band.

This community band represents the world’s first Hindu eco-temple, Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Kingsbury, London.

King Charles, who led the service, serves as Head of the Commonwealth, a role he has actively supported for over 40 years.
