In the latest broadcast, announcements revealed significant delays on the M4 en route to Heathrow after a blazing car fire, while a separate report stated that two UK Embassy staff were told to leave Moscow.

According to the day’s news updates, passengers travelling by car to Heathrow Airport are facing delays after a vehicle caught fire in a tunnel early this morning. Traffic has built up on the M4 and both sides of the A4.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Federal Security Service has said two people connected to Britain’s embassy in Moscow had been ordered to leave the country accused of spying.

Russia’s state news agency TASS reported the diplomats have been stripped of their accreditation by the FSB.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of Monday’s Good Morning Britain, presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls had a conversation with Eurovision hopefuls Remember Monday.

It was recently confirmed that the girl band would carry the nation’s hopes at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest with their track What The Hell Just Happened?

Gracing the morning show, Remember Monday shared insights about their Eurovision journey and expectations for the contest.

This sparked excitement in host Susanna, aged 54, leading her to declare: “I say this is the winner!” leaving the trio from Remember Monday visibly flattered as they responded: “Oh, woah!”, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Susanna was enthusiastic, saying: “I think it’s massive, I think it’s absolutely massive!” But her co-host Ed Balls was quick to remind her: “Susanna, we say that every year!” to which Susanna then clarified: “No we don’t, sorry, no we don’t, we really don’t!”

In another part of the show, presenter Richard Arnold probed the group about their upcoming Eurovision act to which Lauren Byrne hinted: “We can’t give away all our secrets!”

However, the group, with their musical theatre experience, promised a performance full of “drama” for the big night.

Good Morning Britain also interviewed singer Anastacia, who enjoyed a surprise serenade by Remember Monday with some of her classic songs.

Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV X.
