Dave Myers’ widow, Lili Myers, has poignantly spoken out about the late star’s heartfelt ‘last journey’, revealing to fans that they have a chance to own his cherished motorbike.
The beloved TV personality passed away in February last year at 66, after a battle with cancer. Now, his motorbike, which became iconic during the filming of Hairy Bikers, is set to be auctioned off on March 26.
In an emotional segment broadcast on BBC Breakfast on Monday (March 10), Lili appeared alongside reporter Jayne McCubbin in a pre-recorded interview from within a motorcycle shop. Reflecting on seeing the bike again, she expressed: “Gosh look at that. It’s wonderful to see it again.”

Lili shared her sentiments on Dave’s sheer joy regarding the motorbike: “He was so excited about it because just a few months before he never thought that he would ride a bike again.”
She confessed her own happiness at his final riding moments: “Of course I was delighted that he was able to do it again. This was his last horse and it was with him on his last journey. He was like a little kid in a toy shop, whenever there was a whiff of some adventure.”
Dave’s acclaimed signature bike made its final appearance on the last series of Hairy Bikers, which showcased Myers and his culinary companion, Si King, embarking on one last epic trip along the UK’s west coast, from Scotland to Devon, reports the Express.

After Myers’ passing, this nostalgic journey captivated viewers across the nation as it aired, celebrating the memory of the Lancashire-born chef in a poignant farewell.
The BSA Goldstar is up for grabs with a starting price at £8,000, and there are hopes it could fetch over £10,000 at auction. All proceeds will be donated to the NSPCC and the Institute for Cancer Research, charities dear to Myers.
A spokesperson for BSA commented: “By taking part in the auction, you’re not only giving yourself a shot at owning a piece of Hairy Bikers history, but you’re also making a real difference. Join us in honouring Dave’s legacy and supporting two causes that are making the world a better place.
“Both charities were close to Dave’s heart, making this raffle more than just a chance to take home something special it’s an opportunity to contribute to the causes he deeply cared about.”
