UK Eurovision act Remember Monday has responded to online criticism in a unique way by transforming negative comments into a harmonised song.
The girl band, who will represent the UK at the 2025 contest in Basel, Switzerland, shared a video of themselves singing the harsh remarks they’ve received.
The trio – Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steel – will perform their song “What The Hell Just Happened?” at the grand final on 17 May.
Their creative approach has turned “trash talk to treasure” according to the BBC Eurovision account.
In the video shared on social media, Remember Monday can be seen harmonising as they sing negative comments written about them online.
The clip begins with the trio singing; “Please tell me it’s not true you’re doing Eurovision for UK,” before continuing into another comment: “Yep we’re getting 0 points again…”

The trio are excited to be representing the country this year

The video concludes with them harmonising: “Are you going to Eurovision or not? I want to get the disappointment out of the way,” with the creative response being shared by the BBC’s Eurovision account yesterday.
The caption on the BBC Eurovision TikTok post read: “From trash talk to treasure. The #Eurovision rumour mill recently hit full peak for @RememberMonday_, but for this year’s UK Eurovision, it’s just an opportunity to harmonise and turn some of their favourite comments into choooons!”
The video was released following rumours about their potential involvement in the contest, with Remember Monday confirming their participation when they appeared on the Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 yesterday.
The announcement came after weeks of speculation about who would represent the UK and while some music fans remained unconvinced by the band’s approach, others were enthusiastic about their creative response.
One social media user commented: “From trash talk to bangers! This track is fire!” before another added it was “iconic behaviour” from the trio.
The singers, who became friends after meeting in sixth form in 2013, are hoping to improve on last year’s UK Eurovision result, when Olly Alexander placed 18th in the competition.
The band has described their sound as a “blend of modern and classic country, with a touch of pop and rock,” and have performed at major UK events, including Country to Country and the Long Road.
Remember Monday have also completed their own UK tour following a sell-out headline show in London – leaving the trio to be the first girl band to represent the UK at Eurovision since 1999.
They have built a substantial social media following, with 91,800 followers on Instagram and 538,000 on TikTok.
In a statement about representing the UK, Remember Monday said: “What The Hell Just Happened is exactly how we’re feeling right now! It’s all very surreal; our friendship goes so far back, and we definitely never imagined that we’d be doing anything like this.”

The trio have been hit with mixed criticism
The trio added: “We’re going to bring loads of fun, energy and hopefully do something that you won’t have seen before on the Eurovision stage.”
They expressed excitement about performing alongside other international artists, saying: “We honestly can’t wait to experience this with all of the other incredible artists from around the world.”
