Britiain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden was left utterly astounded before exclaiming, “Oh my god,” as an act rendered her speechless on Saturday (March 8).

The show saw the return of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli, and guest judge KSI to the auditions, all in search of a standout act for the Royal Variety Performance.

Eleven-year-old Oliver took to the stage at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, armed with his electric guitar and a dream to become “the best guitarist in the world”, a goal inspired by lessons from his grandad.

Despite admitting to being “very nervous,” Oliver managed to captivate everyone with his remarkable guitar renditions of Van Halen’s “Jump” and Queen’s 1979 classic “Don’t Stop Me Now”, reports the Express.

Following his performance, the audience erupted in applause, prompting an excited Amanda to press the Golden Buzzer while declaring: “Oh my god”.

Amanda, visibly moved, proclaimed: “I mean, literally a star is born, I have never, ever seen anything like that in my life,” amidst the shower of golden confetti on the stage.

Alesha Dixon chimed in with praise, saying: “When you said you want to be the best guitar player in the world, I thought this young man is going to go far. Congratulations on a well-deserved golden buzzer.”

KSI, equally impressed, remarked in amazement: “Oliver, you’re eleven and you’re already a star. I loved it, it was crazy, you were like a completely different person, especially when you were right here and looking at our eyes and playing your heart out.”

Simon Cowell was effusive in his praise for the young talent on stage, remarking: “You know what, you already have a very distinct sound which normally takes people decades, you’re that good. I mean, seriously good! That was brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Good for you, go and celebrate,” as he wrapped up his feedback.

After leaving the spotlight, Oliver joined presenters Ant and Dec, confessing that he “didn’t expect” to receive a golden buzzer, followed by an endearing embrace with his beaming grandad.

The audition, which clearly struck a chord with viewers, had BGT fans flocking to X (formerly Twitter ) to express their delight. One fan posted: “Simply astonishing performance by an 11 yr old boy playing electric guitar on #BGT Golden button from Amanda Holden quite rightly.”

Another shared their joy, commenting: “He deserved the golden buzzer and im so happy for him! !” while another chimed in with: “Very well deserved for the golden buzzer well done super star.”

A fourth admirer couldn’t contain their excitement: “Wow wow so proud of him he is absolutely a star in his young age wow so so happy.”
