Aldi’s ‘luxe’ £2.99 lip oil, which fans say feels “exactly the same” as a viral Charlotte Tilbury version, is back in stores. From Sunday (9 March), beauty fans can shop Lacura’s well-reviewed Collagen Lip Oil as a SpecialBuy.
The budget-friendly beauty find boasts ingredients such as shea butter, almond oil, vitamin E, and collagen. The product promises to make lips appear “smoother, plumper and full of shine”, and it’s a hit with beauty fans.
When shoppers first spotted the SpecialBuy in stores last year, many were quick to compare the lip oil to Charlotte Tilbury’s £28 Charlotte’s Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir.
One shopper, posting on TikTok as @james_r_atkinson, showcased both products before praising Aldi’s offering. James claimed: “I’ve used the Charlotte Tilbury one since it launched, and the Aldi one feels exactly the same.”
Similarly, TikTok user @becky_cxx shared high praise after testing Aldi’s version, telling followers: “It feels exactly the same as the Charlotte Tilbury one.”
While shoppers love both products, it’s worth noting there are differences between the lip oils. Aldi’s lip oil is “formulated with a Super 5 crystal complex and Super 8 ingredients.”
However, Charlotte Tilbury’s lip oil is “enriched with potent ingredients, a magical 5-crystal complex and [Charlotte Tilbury’s ] Magic 8 ingredients for lips that look full of life.” These ingredients include Alpine Rose and Hyaluronic Acid, which helps to hydrate skin.
Charlotte Tilbury’s lip oil is clinically proven to enhance lip volume, reduce the appearance of lip lines, and boost hydration. That said, Aldi’s offering could still be a top choice for beauty enthusiasts seeking a budget-friendly lip oil, reports the Mirror.
In a TikTok review of Aldi’s lip oil, @heatherlabelle1 said: “It’s super shiny. It feels really nourishing and definitely a lot more luxe than the price point… My lips feel absolutely amazing.”
Shoppers keen to bag a bargain will likely need to be fast. As with all of Aldi’s SpecialBuys, the lip oil is only available while stocks last.
