TK Maxx
While the risk level has been determined as “low”, shoppers have been urged to return the affected items to a TK Maxx or HomeSense store.
Shoppers will receive a full refund or replacement upon returning the items.
The OPSS stated: “The product presents a risk of fire because the plug, fuse and cables are counterfeit, and are not of sufficient quality to protect against risks of overheating, fire or electric shock.”
Both hair straighteners fail to comply with both the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
