Jubilee Green just got a fitness facelift, and the whole community is invited to break a sweat.
The brand-new leisure equipment facility in Bradley Stoke has officially opened, bringing a fresh wave of fitness opportunities to residents of all ages and abilities. With state-of-the-art gear and an inclusive design, this space is set to become the town’s go-to spot for outdoor exercise.
The much-anticipated facility, located off Savages Wood, was officially unveiled on January 8, with local councillors and town council staff in attendance to mark the occasion. The launch celebrates a major enhancement to the area’s recreational amenities, offering an accessible and dynamic fitness space for all.

Designed to cater to a variety of fitness levels, the new equipment includes strength machines, bars, benches, and cardio gear such as a bike, arm bike, and cross trainer. Visitors can also access QR codes on-site to receive additional workout guidance, complemented by detailed information boards. For those looking to tailor their exercise routines, the Kompan app provides an extra layer of personalised support.
Mayor of Bradley Stoke, Natalie Field said: “This new facility is a testament to our commitment to enhancing the well-being of our residents. It’s wonderful to see a space where everyone can come together and prioritise their health and fitness in such an inclusive environment.”

Deputy town clerk Phil Francis highlighted its role in tackling mental health challenges and reducing social isolation, particularly in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“By providing residents with free access to top-notch fitness facilities, we strive to enhance their physical health and well-being, fostering a healthier and more connected community,” he said.
Council team member Libby Jordan added: “This fantastic range of equipment offers something for everyone, and the thoughtfulness behind its design ensures that people of all abilities can enjoy staying active. I’m looking forward to trying out some of the workouts myself.”
Beyond the fitness upgrade, additional improvements are underway at the Beacon Playscheme, which is receiving a new swing set, a roundabout, and extra seating to enhance its appeal as a family-friendly space. Work on these upgrades is actively progressing, with further updates to follow. For more information, visit www.bradleystoke.gov.uk.
