The event is celebrated annually on March 5 and celebrates the life and legacy of the patron saint of tin miners.
Processions and performances took place including a St Piran’s Day Parade in Truro, culminating in speeches and songs outside Truro Cathedral.
President of Truro Old Cornwall Society, Bert Biscoe, said: “We very much welcome the enthusiasm shown by our schools for St Piran and the Truro parade.
“Handing on such valued and resonant traditions and celebrations is vitally important for community life and everybody’s identity.”
To celebrate his Cornish roots and his passion for cooking Cornish food, Strawbridge took to this social media to express his love for the day.

The celebratory post from Strawbridge comes after a wave of celebrations happened within the family.
Strawbridge father Dick and his wife Angel Adoree finally went on their honeymoon 10 years after getting married.
Issuing a carosel of photos from their trip to Sri Lanka, they said: “After 10 years of waiting, we finally honeymooned.
“What an utterly gorgeous country Sri Lanka is… The people… the colour… the food… We were blessed by a monk…walks holding hands… soaked up the city, and the countryside.

The couple recently celebrated their honeymoon after 10 years
“There was something very special in waiting a decade, and we have savoured every moment. Happy Valentine’s Day! Xxx.”
The family also celebrated their son Arthur’s 12th birthday and marked the occasion by sharing some images of their son from when he was younger, along with his party.
The couple said: “Happy 12th birthday to our kind, funny, clever and gorgeous little man! (not that we are biased). Feels like yesterday that we held Arthur in our arms for the first time…
“This weekend saw 28 kids take over the Chateau with Laser Tag and lots of games…it even snowed! Merry birthday Arthur! Love you more than you will ever know!”
