A 25-year-old Brampton man faces 11 charges in connection with a human trafficking and prostitution-related investigation that began in February 2025.

Peel Regional Police claim the alleged victim was involved in the sex trade after the accused recruited and exploited her, took her earnings, and moved her across the country over several years.

On Monday, Javon McBean was arrested and charged with a 11 offences, including seven trafficking-related charges plus forcible confinement, assault, choking, and killing or injuring animals.
