Mrs. Brown’s Boys star Danny O’Carroll has opened up about the support he’s received from his family following his marriage breakdown.
The actor, who plays Buster Brady in the hit comedy series, parted ways with his wife Amanda last year after 17 years together – sharing two sons, Blake and Jamie, together.
Speaking to RSVP Magazine, O’Carroll revealed: “My whole family has, everyone has been there for me. My family is very supportive, they’re supportive to both me and Amanda and to the kids. My family is fantastic.”
His sister Fiona has been particularly helpful during this difficult time as she went through a similar split three years ago, giving her valuable insight into what O’Carroll is experiencing.
The Dancing With The Stars contestant has been leaning on his family network as he navigates this new chapter in his life.
Both O’Carroll and his ex-wife Amanda have benefited from the family’s unwavering support.

“Seeing her in the front row every week, giving me that little fist pump and blowing me kisses. It means everything,” he said.
O’Carroll admitted his fitness routine initially took a backseat when they started dating, enjoying “lazy days in” together.
O’Carroll, who is now 41, reflected on reaching the milestone age of 40 while participating in Dancing With The Stars.
“I still feel like I’m 21, turning 40 doesn’t feel like a milestone at all,” he explained.
However, the physical demands of dancing have made him feel his age.
“I got out of bed yesterday morning and I had to start on my knees and work my way up on the dressing table so I could stand up,” he revealed.

“My body is in bits. That’s the only downfall of being in your 40s.”
Despite the critics, O’Carroll remains passionate about his role as Buster Brady on Mrs. Brown’s Boys and said: “Absolutely not, I love playing him. He’s a cracking character to play,” he said when asked if he ever tires of the role.
“He’s a loveable rogue and he gets away with absolute murder. He gets great lines in the script. We love making the show and we’ll keep doing it until we’re told to stop.”
