Move over leopard print, it seems there’s a new fashion obsession in our midst with Google search for ‘cow print’ skyrocketing in the last month. Plus, it’s not only been spotted on some serious A-listers of late, including Beyoncé and Bella Hadid, but on the shelves and rails of our favourite high street shops too – including Marks & Spencer. And one skirt from the brand has shoppers in love with its black and white pattern and suave silhouette.

The Animal Print Midaxi Slip Skirt costs £35 from M&S and comes in a variety of different sizes from petite 6 to tall 20, with regular lengths going up to 24.

Described as a ‘striking’ skirt that’ll certainly ‘turn heads’, the fun and on trend garment is a great way to spruce up an outfit without putting in too much effort. Made with a regular fit, the skirt falls to a midaxi-length (not quite ankle, but not quite knee length) and falls gracefully thanks to its light viscose material and unlined finish.

Paired with a graphic t-shirt, some trainers and a leather jacket, you’ve got a lovely spring outfit that’ll suitable for day or night (swap out the trainers for boots), smart or casual.

A description from the Marks & Spencer website hails it as an ‘easy-to-wear’ wardrobe staple and reads: “Turn heads in this striking cow-print slip skirt, perfect for smart and casual occasions alike. It’s cut in a regular fit with a flattering midaxi-length hem for effortless elegance. The bold print adds a playful, statement-making touch.”

While the skirt is new in at M&S, it has received one review from shoppers, which is five stars.

They said: “I love this skirt, great length, I bought long as I am tall. Good quality, can’t wait to wear when the weather warms up.”

While there are no other reviews for this particular skirt, we can see this becoming a popular choice as the warmer weather rolls in. Our only suggestion would be to make sure you have a slip underneath – especially if you feel the cold – to make the skirt sit nicely and it doesn’t cling to your legs.

Not quite feeling the cow print skirt? Next has a denim jacket bearing the pattern for £55 here if you’d feel more comfortable with a bold top half. If that’s a bit far still, try incorporating the print into some shoes, such as these trainers from Office, £110. Without being too bold, the Nike trainers have the classic tick emblem as well as a cream block colour on the toes and around the sides of the feet. The cow print can be spotted around the eyelets of the laces as well as on the heel and toes. Get them here.

Don’t want to spend that much on trainers? River Island’s brown and cream pair cost £38 here and offer a lovely touch to an otherwise neutral outfit.
