A 33-year-old man faces charges after he was allegedly caught with a stash of drugs in a stolen vehicle in Oshawa this week.
Durham Regional Police say officers were “proactively patrolling” the area of Stevenson Rd. S. and King St. W. when they spotted the suspected drug dealer in the stolen vehicle just after 11:30 p.m. on Monday.
“The suspect was arrested and found to have a large quantity of drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia on him and in the vehicle,” Const. Emily Mitchell alleged in a statement released Wednesday.
Scott Watson, of Whitby, is charged with possess of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000 and four counts of trafficking in Schedule I Substance (fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and Percocet).
He is also charged with failure to comply with a release order, suggesting he was already before the courts for other offences.
