A third man has now been charged in the deadly shooting of a 16-year-old Toronto teen last month in Etobicoke.
Toronto Police responded on Feb. 4 at about 5:30 p.m. to a call for a shooting at an apartment building in The East Mall-Rathburn Rd. area.
Officers arrived at the scene and found two male victims. They were taken to hospital where one of the males — Isaiah Fogah — died.
The other male, a 19-year-old whose identity has not been released, sustained serious injuries.
Last Saturday, investigators announced the arrests of Elliut Xavier Yera, 18, of Toronto, and Shamone Pompey-Thomas, 20, of Toronto. Both were charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted weapon.
Police on Tuesday arrested a third person. Taven Tinashe Cassoma, 18, of Toronto, has been charged with second-degree murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
It was the city’s second homicide of the year.
