Spring is on the horizon and with it comes an infux of pastel hued dresses perfect for the upcoming season, including a floral tea dress from Marks & Spencer that is ‘high in demand’. With a floaty silhouette and two different colours, the Floral Round Neck Tie Detail Midaxi Tea Dress screams springtime with its flower-embossed design and delicate puff sleeves.
Costing £45, the dress comes in two different patterns: one with blue roses on a pastel blue background, the other a black background with ditsy daisies on. While all sizes are still available, ranging from petite six to tall 24, the dress is ‘selling fast’.
Coming in a bright blue hue, the ‘vibrant’ floral dress is delicate and ‘feminine’ and looks to be a comfortable choice for smart events like weddings, christenings and summer garden parties. Its regular fit and flattering round neckline ensure it’d be a breeze to style with a denim jacket, your favourite trainers and a woven straw bag.

While the tailored, slightly fitted bodice and cinched in waist are lovely details that flatter the figure, the dress’ midaxi skirt has been crafted with a tier at the hem to add some extra swish to your step to give your outfit some oomph.

Made from viscose, the dress looks like it’d be lovely and light to wear on those sunnier days and can easily be taken from day to night with the switch up of shoes.
While there are no reviews for the dress just yet, seeing as it has just launched, one thing that may be a gripe for some shoppers is the rounded neckline as it is finished with statement stitching on the outside. While this makes a lovely style element, if you have sensitive skin, it could potentially rub – although that can only be determined once tried on. If you like your dresses to have a little room also, it may be worth sizing up as the bodice looks to be quite snug – especially for those who have a more generous bust.
Prefer longer sleeves and more of a maxi skirt? M&S’ Lyocell Rich Printed Tie Detail Midi Waisted Dress costs £35 and has 3/4 length sleeves with a balloon shape as well as a cinched in waist similar to the tea dress. Shoppers are heaping praise on this design with one stating: “Beautiful dress, lovely shape, good fabric. Can’t wait to wear it.”
Another raved: “Very pretty dress, fits beautifully and looking forward to wearing [it].” Although some people didn’t like its ‘very thin material’ and waist height that is ‘way too high’.
