Police say they have stopped an ‘R’ plate driver on the M2 in Belfast after reaching speeds of 90mph.
NI Roads Policing unit posted an image showing an undercover Golf R belonging to the Interceptors stopping a red Seat Ibiza on the hard shoulder of the M2.
In the post on social media, they said: “Like a bad penny, look who turned up again on the M2 Belfast bound . . . Only on this occasion they were caught on the Interceptors own video !!
“90mph on R plates. Another court appearance looms.
“Unfortunately, in this instance, we had no Powers to seize the vehicle at the roadside, however we will be doing our best working with partners to lawfully remove this vehicle from this motorist to prevent any further incidents.”
