Danny Jones had a shocking comment about his marriage, just days before he was spotting kissing an I’m A Celeb co-star.

McFly singer Danny was seen kissing Maura Higgins – who recently reportedly split from Pete Wicks – at a BRIT Awards after party. It left fans horrified as the singer is married to wife Georgia, with the pair sharing son Cooper together.

In a recently podcast, which debuted just days ago, Danny quipped about “leaving” his wife, reports the Mirror. Chatting with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe on their Parenting Hell podcast, Danny revealed to them he had moved house whilst in the jungle.

Danny compared renovation woes, saying: “Are you renovating? Same mate. It’s a nightmare isn’t it?”

Rob joked: “Is that why you went in the jungle to get money for the renovations?” Josh then chimed in to say: “To get away with it. Have my kitchen done – three weeks in the jungle.”

Rob then quipped that “you’re honest when they go – why are you here? I’ve got a massive tax bill and she’s left me. That’s why I’m here. Give me the kangaroo d*** and let’s get this done.”

In response, Danny admitted: “Do you know what? I left my wife to move,” and then quipped further: “I just left my wife,” prompting laughter from the trio. Rob branded it an “awkward exclusive” and Josh remarked: “What an exclusive.”

But Danny cleared the air by clarifying that he abandoned his wife to tackle the move, expressing surprise she was still with him after handling the move solo. After returning from his I’m A Celebrity triumph, Danny shared that his wife Georgia was “overwhelmed”.

He explained: “When I got back, my wife was like I think I just need to go away to a hut myself for a few days. I said go and take yourself away and have a few days.

“You know what it was like, she was overwhelmed. It got too much for her, I could see it in her. I was like you just need to go away,” revealing that Georgia indeed took some time for herself.

She posted about the experience: “I was going into this New Year burnt out. Everything I didn’t want to feel entering 2025… I felt.

“Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career whilst Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was A LOT!

“So whilst I was still in Australia I decided I needed to do something for me… a solo trip, one to push me out of my comfort zone but also one to give me the break I craved. So… I booked a little cabin in the middle of nowhere, somewhere near Shropshire, and found a little nugget of calm in my overwhelmed brain.

“I chopped fire wood, built fires, sat in silence, read books, slept, took in the views, watched the sheep in the nearby field… and it was perfect.

In the same conversation, Danny also spoke about his insights from years of parenthood.

“I’ve definitely learned that time with my son is more important than anything. Being there for him and being present when he needs that emotional support. Like last night, I find myself slipping back into my [old] ways,” he confessed.

“‘It’s bedtime, get to bed, clean your teeth mate. Dinner’s on, I’m kind of trying to cook for mummy and I’ve got to be here’. It does get a lot but we’re all the same and some nights I’m better than others – some nights, I’m nailing life and bedtime …

“The best thing I’ve learned is that time is hard to find but when you do find it, it’s really nice. Enjoying that time – not that I’ve ever not enjoyed it – but when I’ve been distracted and someone needs my attention or needs an answer, I think that’s really important. He notices it.”
