A man is due to appear in court following a string of assault charges after an incident took place involving police in west Belfast.
It’s understood that the 36-year-old’s charges are in relation to an incident on Friday (February 28) which led to three officers sustaining injuries.
One officer received a broken thumb while another officer was bitten and a third was punched in the face.
The man is charged with two counts of assault on police, resisting police, criminal damage, common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday (March 3).
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
