The meeting took place just a day after Zelensky’s showdown with President Trump which was played out in front of the cameras.
Before Zelensky’s trip to the Oval Office, Starmer had been the most recent world leader visitor in the White House.
The mood from both meetings could not have been more different, but that seemingly did little to quell the strong relationship Britain has with Zelensky.
The UK has maintained strong support for Ukraine’s war efforts since Russia’s invasion in 2021.
