Scientists examining “alien mummies” discovered in Peru claim they have found new evidence proving the specimens are “100 per cent real”.

Researchers have shared details from their investigation of a specimen named Antonio, which was unveiled to the world in December 2023.

The team, led by Dr José Zalce, former director of the Mexican Navy Medical Department, used a small camera to explore three cavities in Antonio’s skull.

They discovered remnants of dried-out tissue and “well-preserved anatomical structures” throughout.

Dr Zalce told the Daily Mail that the most striking discovery was the second and third molars observed in the oral cavity.

“These structures are practically identical to those of humans,” he said.

When examining the skull, Dr Zalce found “no significant differences from a human,” such as the bone structure, bony eye sockets and mouth.

The team found that the tissues and bones did not feature any artificial materials or modifications.

They claim this proves Antonio is an authentic corpse.

Antonio was described as having three fingers, an elongated head and small, slanted eyes.

Dr Zalce said: “[Antonio] is approximately 5.5 to 5.7 feet tall. He is about 1,500 years old and in a developmental stage comparable to that of a young adult.”

The researchers found that the mummy’s teeth showed signs of wear and discoloration.

Antonio had between 28 and 32 teeth, according to the team.

A previous investigation of Antonio’s mouth uncovered several teeth had amalgam fillings.

This type of filling is made from a mixture of metals, including mercury, silver, copper and tin.

Dr David Ruiz Vela, former president of Peru’s Medical Association, was the first to analyse Antonio.

He claimed the specimen had human-like organs with a visible brain structure.

Dr Vela also reported Antonio had a stab wound in his chest that caused broken ribs and perforated organs.

He said: “He has a stab that broke his ribs on the left side of his chest, penetrating the chest, abdomen, liver and completely perforating him inside.”

The scientific community remains divided on the authenticity of these specimens.

Forensic archaeologist Flavio Estrada has dismissed claims the objects came from another world as “totally false.”

“They are dolls assembled with bones of animals from this planet, with modern synthetic glues,” he previously said.

However, former Colorado prosecutor Joshua McDowell disputes this assessment.

He told the Daily Mail: “The bodies studied by Estrada were not related to any specimen that we have studied. They were folk dolls made to look like [mummies] confiscated at the airport.”

Jois Mantilla, a journalist dedicated to proving the mummies are real, said that “more will be revealed in 2025” about the creatures.

This includes details about the secret location where the bodies were recovered.

Researchers have kept the discovery site hidden from the public.

This measure has been taken to prevent looters from accessing the area.

The mystery began in 2017 when Jaime Maussan, a journalist and ufologist, and a team of self-proclaimed paranormal researchers claimed to have found the strange three-fingered “mummified humanoids”.
