Bristol City fans have taken to social media to offer their verdict after the Robins announced season ticket details for the 2025/26 campaign, with all but supporters under 12 seeing a “small increase” to their ticket price.
The major headlines are that prices from last season have risen from between 1.3 per cent and 4.8 per cent, while prices have been frozen for under-12s in all of the Lansdown, South and Dolman Stands.
Supporters will still be able to use the Reds’ pay monthly scheme to spread the price of their ticket over the space of nine months. The early bird period will begin next Monday and run until 5pm on Friday, May 2, the day before City’s final match of the Championship season against Preston North End.
While most fans are at ease with the small increase in the majority of prices, there has been some scepticism around supporters given the sheer amount of matches that have been moved away from their original 3pm kick-off time for Sky Sports’ broadcast this season.
With the current fixture schedule for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign, City supporters will have been able to watch 15 of the Robins’ 23 home games on Sky Sports in some capacity. The fact that some of those games have been rearranged at incredibly short notice has led some fans to question whether or not it is worth them renewing their season tick.
Liam Manning’s side have 12 games left of their Championship season. The Reds currently sit eighth in the table, just two points adrift of the play-off places, meaning at the time of writing it is unclear what division they will be playing their football in next term.
Full details on season tickets for the 2025/26 campaign can be read here but the general feedback from supporters has been mixed. Here is what some City fans said on the announcement on X…
@_W00KS_: “Cheap that for Premier League football lads.”
@mrluvverlufkins: “Thought it might of gone down since you’re bankrolled by Sky and no-one bothers turning up for 12:30 kick-offs.”
@CJW15_: “Not bad money for Premier League football……”
@TheExiledRobin: “Now we’ll truly see what the impact of the TV deal and the multitude of random kick-off times is. Last year many fans didn’t realise quite what was ahead. The club has gained £ms more for that, but prices for fans have still increased slightly.”

@The_Bristol_Don: “Any decline in uptake will be purely based on people not happy with the kick-off times, not the minimal price increase surely.”
@Mark_Scattered: “Wife and I just don’t enjoy 12 noon or Friday night games as much as 3pm Sat. May just buy tx ad hoc next year rather than renewing. Doubt we’ll be alone…”
@TristanCorkPost: “Seriously thinking about not renewing – the random kick off times are a big issue and also even bigger are the late notice changes. Is it worth buying a season ticket if I end up not being able to make it to many games. Club & EFL prioritises TV viewers more than in-stadium fans.”
@themightyingers: “It will be interesting to see if sales are affected and by how much. I still think the overall pricing is pretty decent value for money though, if you compare it to things like cinema, eating out, gigs and the like.”
@joannab2015: “With the general cost of living going up, taxes more than likely going up in April, kick-off times changing I think a lot of people will have a big decision to make. Having said all that if we’re still in with a shout of the play-offs on the 2nd May then more will renew!”
@ELJones95: “If you pay monthly and are in the South Stand it’s about an extra £1.50 a game (I think). I can cope with that. Soz for everyone else who isn’t.”
