Protesters were removed from a community engagement meeting involving the PSNI in Co Armagh last night.
Republican activists gathered at the Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre, where a Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) meeting was taking place.
The group was initially denied entry for having flags and banners, which they were told were not allowed in the building.
A representative from the group said they wished to “peacefully protest” and read a statement before leaving their props outside.
When the meeting got underway, they stood and stated that the “PSNI/RUC” have no place in the community.
Midway through the statement, the meeting chairperson asked for the protesters to be removed.
The spokesperson was forcibly removed from the venue by PSNI officers.
The group gathered outside to continue the protest, unfurling the banners and flags before leaving.
DUP MP Carla Lockhart criticised the protest.
She said: “Masked republicans storming a community policing meeting to intimidate elderly residents isn’t ‘activism’ – it’s pure thuggery.
“Tonight, DUP councillor Mark Baxter was chairing the PCSP meeting in Craigavon when a group of anti-PSNI republicans tried to shut it down. They failed.
“Thanks to the swift action of PSNI officers, the protestors were removed, and local residents were able to have their say on policing in their community.
“This disgraceful behaviour stands in stark contrast to the brave men and women of the PSNI, who put themselves in harm’s way every day to serve everyone in our society despite the ongoing threats they face.
“Those who believe they can bully and intimidate their way to dominance should hear this loud and clear: they will not win. Democracy, law, and order will always prevail.”
This is the third PSNI meeting to be disrupted by protestors this week.
On Monday, members of the 32 County Sovereignty Movement (32 CSM) and Saoradh disrupted a PCSP meeting at St Comgall’s in west Belfast.
And on Tuesday members of Saoradh also disrupted a PCSP gathering at Girdwood Hub in north Belfast.
