GB News star Stephen Dixon says the Princess of Wales is “stepping on a few toes” by offering her plum jam recipe for free whilst the Duchess of Sussex attempts to profit from her preserve business.

The Princess of Wales revealed her passion for homemade preserves during a recent visit to Wales with Prince William.

Kate, 43, discovered young volunteers at a community garden were growing plums for jam-making.

“I’ll send you my plum jam recipe so you can try it,” she promised the youngsters.

This comes as Meghan Markle ventures into the preserve market with her own commercial brand.

Speaking to GB News, Stephen Dixon said: “Wow. Of course Meghan Markle is selling jam over in Los Angeles. Is she doing plums?”

Ellie said: “No it is strawberry.”

Stephen said: “Oh dear. That will step on a few toes won’t it? Catherine won’t be selling hers though.

“She is giving it away for free, being very charitable, very nice with her jam recipe. But Meghan Markle is of course trying to make money on it with her new company.”

He added: “World’s gone mad, right?”

The royal couple were visiting Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland, near Pontypridd in South Wales.

The garden aligns perfectly with one of the Princess’s passion projects – encouraging people, particularly children, to enjoy the outdoors and nature.

During their visit, the royal couple toured the woodland walks and admired the homegrown produce at the community garden.

The space, which suffered severe flooding in 2024, has been revitalised through volunteer efforts.

The Duchess of Sussex initially launched a lifestyle brand under the name “American Riveria Orchard”.

However, Meghan was forced to abandon this title after encountering “a catalogue of trademark issues”.

She has since rebranded her venture as “As Ever”.

Meghan has been actively promoting her new brand on her personal Instagram account, which has already attracted an impressive two million followers.
