In a shocking turn of events, Peppa Pig’s mum was a live guest on Good Morning Britain this morning (Thursday, 27th February), leaving viewers stunned with her unexpected admission.
The children’s TV show Peppa Pig, which debuted in 2004, has been a hit with youngsters due to its vibrant animation and witty scriptwriting.
Indeed, some parents have criticised the character of Peppa Pig for being “too rude”, as she is seen as bossy, impatient, and occasionally condescending. Nevertheless, it remains a beloved cartoon for many.
Richard Arnold interviewed Peppa’s mum during an entertainment segment, prompting social media users to declare they’d “officially seen it all now”. Richard introduced his “very special guest” who had exclusive news to share.
However, when viewers realised the “special guest” was Peppa Pig’s mum, they were left astounded – particularly when they discovered she was appearing on TV because she was expecting a baby.
“I’m excited to share that our family is getting even bigger because we’re having another baby! I’m due in the summer, and we’re all so excited,” announced Peppa’s mum.

But not everyone welcomed the news. “We’ve officially lost the plot as a nation,” one person vented on X, arguing that the world had gone mad due to the interview.
Another viewer found it nostalgic but remained perplexed, commenting: “The world has officially gone bonkers, the fact we are interviewing a cartoon character on a morning news programme.
“Although, I did watch it, and it made me smile a bit. Reminded me of how much my 21-year-old loved that show when he was little”.
Some viewers were less than impressed, with one commenting that the “exchange went on for much longer than necessary,” while others questioned: “Why is this news?” Another viewer took a swipe at Peppa Pig herself, remarking: “Let’s hope the new piglet is taught more manners than Peppa..”
