Boris Becker has taken aim at Jamie Carragher on social media, insisting the Sky Sports pundit is ‘not well informed’ following recent comments about Bayern Munich.
Carragher has found himself in the spotlight this week after seemingly downplaying the importance of the African Cup of Nations.
The likes of Rio Ferdinand and Richard Keys have come after the former Liverpool star, with the latter calling him ‘unforgivably ignorant’.
And Becker has now become the latest sporting figure to take aim at the Sky man.

Boris Becker has taken aim at Jamie Carragher on social media, insisting the Sky Sports pundit is ‘not well informed’ following recent comments about Bayern Munich

On Sunday, Carragher said he hadn’t been ‘convinced’ by Bayern Munich this season – despite the German giants being eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table.
Furthermore, they’re also through to the Champions League round of 16 – where they’ll face Xabi Alonso’s Bayern Munich.
Carragher said: “Bayern have not convinced me at all yet.
“Now they are playing against Leverkusen, who dominated Bayern in the Bundesliga recently. It’s a 50-50 tie.

“In the end, I’m predicting Leverkusen [to advance].
“If Kompany does not win, there will be many question marks about his appointment, because the league is expected and the Champions League is the icing on the cake of a season.
“They have to reach at least the semi-finals.”
Yet Becker has now taken to social media to furiously hit out at Carragher for those remarks.

“There haven’t been any questions regarding the appointment of Kompany!” he said.
“In fact Bayern just said domestic title (is the) most important trophy this year and are happy with the work of Vincent Kompany! Jamie is NOT well informed at all.”
Ferdinand, who has had somewhat of a long-running feud with Carragher, couldn’t resist chiming in.
“Boris… he’s having a bad couple weeks. Let him off,” he wrote, while accompanying his post with three laughing emojis.
LATEST SPORTS NEWS:
Carragher is yet to respond to Becker.
He did, however, defend himself for his comments on AFCON in a lengthy statement earlier this week.
“The point I was trying to make yesterday was that MO Salah is at a disadvantage playing for Egypt in terms of him winning the Ballon d’Or,” he said.
“If Salah had an average season at LFC but won the AFCON & was MVP I don’t think he would win the Ballon d’Or.

“Because I don’t think AFCON carries the weight of other tournaments.
“But if Mbappe had an average season at Real Madrid but won the World Cup/Euros he would still have a great opportunity.
“I know Mane came 2nd a few years back after winning the tournament but that alone wouldn’t have got him to that position, it was LFC being two games away from a quadruple that played a big role also.
“It’s not disrespectful if I feel the WC/Euros/CP are better tournaments it’s just my opinion when I watch them. Saying it wasn’t a major competition was clumsy but I think most people watching could understand the point I was trying to make.”
