Sir Rod Stewart’s son Sean is thought to have checked into a luxury rehabilitation facility in Malibu following a family intervention over his pill addiction.
The 44-year-old is said to be currently receiving treatment at the £63,000-per-month Cliffside Malibu facility, where his friend Scott Disick previously sought help.
The admission comes months after Stewart’s marriage breakdown and his new relationship with Charlie Sheen’s ex-girlfriend, Julia Stambler.
An insider told MailOnline: “Sean is in rehab for pill addiction. He’s had a long history of drug addiction, and he decided to get help when he was falling off the deep end again.”
The exclusive Malibu facility offers patients panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and features an outdoor swimming pool and fully-equipped gym.
Attendees can enjoy luxury amenities including organic meals prepared by dedicated chefs and rooms with large televisions and turn-down service.

The comprehensive treatment programme includes yoga sessions, guided walks and equine therapy.
Stewart has previously spoken openly about his struggles with addiction, which began during his teenage years at Beverly Hills High School.
He previously told the same publication back in 2012: “I would go to parties at that age and drink and smoke cannabis and cigarettes. It was very easy for me to get drugs.”
By age 19, he had developed serious drug and alcohol dependencies, leading to his allowance being cut off and admission to the Meadows treatment centre in Arizona.

He later experienced an overdose and in December 2001 was jailed for 90 days after pleading no contest to assault charges in Malibu.
Stewart has undergone multiple rehabilitation attempts since then, once stating that being rock royalty’s eldest son was “a curse and a hindrance”.
His latest rehab stint follows the breakdown of his whirlwind marriage to Jody Weintraub, daughter of film producer Jerry Weintraub.
The couple married in Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day 2023 after meeting through mutual friend Courtenay Semel.
They reportedly purchased a house together in Los Angeles early last year before their relationship ended – before the rocker’s son began dating Julia Stambler.
It has also been reported that the family had staged an intervention due to growing concerns about his wellbeing.

Another insider claimed: “There was a family intervention because they were worried. They are all able to see when Sean is sober and when he is not,”
They added that Stewart’s father is particularly proud of his son’s decision to seek help voluntarily and said: “In the end, Sean voluntarily checked in to save himself.
“Rod is proud of him for getting help. He is expected to do a 90 day stay, which is the norm.”
Stewart is the Maggie May singer’s eldest son among eight children the rock star has with five different women.
Sir Rod’s children include Sarah Streeter, 61, Kimberly, 45, Sean, Ruby, 37, Renee, 32, Liam, 30, and his youngest sons Alastair, 19, and Aiden, 14.
