Married At First Sight UK’s Polly Sellman has revealed why she was absent from the show’s explosive reunion.
On Monday night, E4 broadcasted Married at First Sight UK: The Reunions, a special episode that brought together popular participants from 2023 and 2024 for a country retreat.
As anticipated, the programme was packed with drama, including a tension-filled dinner party and the notorious Honesty Box. However, viewers quickly noticed that one familiar face was missing from the gathering.
Fans took to Twitter, now X, to express their confusion, with one user asking: “#MAFSUK where’s polly?”, while another queried: “#MAFSUK where is Polly?!”
Others expressed their disappointment, with comments such as: “Shame Polly’s not at the reunion. #MAFSUK” and “gutted there’s no Polly #MAFSUK.”
Following the airing of the show, Polly took to Instagram to explain her absence from the reunion. She wrote: “Seems fitting for everyone who’s asking me why I didn’t attend tonight.”
She continued: “I was also in Center Parcs when filming was, and I pulled out two days before because it just wasn’t the best decision for me at the time. I wanted to stay with my best friends who genuinely cared about the head space I was in at the time” accompanied by a heart emoji, reports OK!.
Polly also penned on Instagram before the reunion: “In light on the reunion ahead tonight at home in the UK, I’d like to remind everyone we were all in this journey together through each others ups and downs. It’s a journey only we will share with each other and no one else will come close to understanding.
“Some of the best memories I have, are with these people. And I wouldn’t of changed my journey or outcome for the world. A few of us chose not to attend tonight’s event for many different reasons, but to those that did, please remember to choose your words carefully when you come to social media before, during and after. And don’t forget, only WE know the truth in certain situations.
“We’re still human, and we’re still navigating life after this crazy journey. The love and respect I have for each and every person who’s ever participated on the show is wild, because it also shows we’re all as mental and brave as each other to put ourselves out there how we did, being our most authentic, vulnerable selves, and it took a lot for some people to go back to this second reunion.
“I hope you all enjoy the episode and remember to just be considerate and to be kind to those that participated.”
Polly, known for her stint on the popular E4 series alongside her ‘husband’ Adam Valentine – a relationship that didn’t last – recently left her followers in awe as she debuted a striking new look on Instagram.
Since the show concluded, the reality star has been keeping her fans updated via social media, also disclosing that she’s currently residing in Sydney, Australia.
