A man is being sought by police after an assault on a bus driver in Bristol on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. The incident took place on a number 6 bus in Whitehall Road at around 5.30pm.

Officers said that the bus driver suffered a cut lip after he was punched in the face by an unknown assailant. Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward who may have seen a man described as slim and wearing a black hoodie and grey shorts. He is thought to have information that could assist the investigation.

Avon and Somerset Police said: “A bus driver was assaulted at about 5.30pm on Tuesday 3 December in Whitehall Road, Bristol. We hope the public can help us identify the male, pictured, who is described as slim and wearing a black hoodie and grey shorts.”

A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset police shared further information on the incident and said: “Do you recognise this person? We wish to speak to him in connection with an ongoing investigation into an assault on a bus driver. The victim was punched in the face and sustained a cut lip.
