Bristol-based energy firm Ovo has agreed a deal to relocate its UK headquarters after more than a decade.
The company is moving from its offices at 1 Rivergate to the Crescent building on Temple Back after agreeing a deal for 22,894 sq ft of space, which includes the entire fifth floor and a fourth-floor suite.
Work on the Crescent began in 2022 and the site includes a café with a garden terrace; external decked area; a one-storey rooftop extension; and three private roof terraces. There is also a cycle park with 164 spaces and a fitness studio within the building.
Julia Diggs, VP People at Ovo, said: “We’ve been working hard searching for a space that truly reflects our culture, our commitment to zero-carbon living, and the way we work. Bristol has been Ovo’s home since 2014 and we’re proud to be part of the community.

“We’ll be collaborating with our people to ensure the office design serves our people and needs today while evolving with us to meet the demands of the future.”
The news comes just weeks after the UK’s fourth-biggest energy supplier confirmed it had secured its brand from the company’s billionaire founder, Stephen Fitzpatrick, in a deal valued at £150m.
The transaction, according to Sky, was part of a wider corporate reorganisation aimed at simplifying the company’s structure following its acquisition of rival SSE in 2020. Mr Fitzpatrick also stepped down from the board of Ovo’s holding company under the terms of the deal.
Ovo is the first business to move into the Crescent building, which was redeveloped by CEG. Savills negotiated the deal on behalf of CEG and CSquared acted for Ovo.
Chris Meredith of Savills added: “Securing Ovo as a tenant at such an early stage in the marketing process is testament to the quality of building which Crescent offers together with the outstanding amenities enhanced reception area and sustainability credentials. We look forward to seeing Ovo take occupation and make Crescent their new home.”
