The victory contributed to an impressive financial year for Littler, who is understood to have earned around £1.5million in his first full season on the professional tour.

Darts legend Phil Taylor has offered financial guidance to the young champion about managing his newfound wealth.

Speaking to Sport Bible, Taylor advised: “Make sure you look after your money. Two bank accounts – one in one, and half in another. So that’s your tax.”
