Fitness TikToker Piera Cafolla, with an impressive following of over 355k, regularly posts macro-friendly recipes that don’t compromise on taste for those looking to make smarter diet choices.
Her high-protein rocky road bars pack in 9g of protein and require just a few clever tweaks to the traditional recipe to boost its nutritional value, as reported by the Express.
What’s more, you only need four ingredients to whip up these convenient, on-the-go treats.
In her version, Piera uses Weetabix for the base to cut down on calories and opts for a rich chocolate protein pudding, ensuring you get your protein fix while still indulging your chocolate cravings.
The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with one commenter saying: “Yum. I’m going to try this.”
Another wrote: “Made this and loved it.” And a third raved: “Oh I am obsessed!”
To make four of these rocky road bars, you’ll need five Weetabix, 250g of chocolate protein pudding, 30g of mini marshmallows, and one rich tea biscuit. Start off by crushing the Weetabix in a bowl before blending in the chocolatey pudding and marshmallows thoroughly.
Next, transfer this mixture into a lined dish, compressing it firmly. Crumble that rich tea biscuit over it all, sprinkle some extra marshmallows on top, and press them down into the mix.
Pop it into the freezer for roughly an hour to let it firm up. Finally, cut it into bar shapes, keep them chilled in the fridge, and relish your treat.
