EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy believes she may have dyspraxia, a condition that affects coordination and balance. The actress, famed for her role as Sonia Fowler in the BBC soap, shared: “I have no balance.

“I cannot ride a bike or roller skate or ice skate. In 2025 I think you’d call me dyspraxic. I think if I went and sorted it all out, I think I’ve got a bit of dyspraxia. If I go down the stairs I have to prise myself at the top before I go. It’s a balance issue. I am a wobbler.”

Natalie isn’t alone in her experiences with dyspraxia; celebrities such as Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, Friends star Jennifer Aniston, and model Cara Delevingne have also discussed living with the condition. At 41, Natalie candidly discusses her life on Aime Fuller’s latest episode of the podcast The Monday Mile, which is set to release today (February 24).

The actress will be departing from EastEnders this year after joining the cast in 1993. Natalie was at the forefront of the soap’s live episode last week, celebrating its 40th anniversary by giving birth on screen.

Fans were even given the chance to name her character’s baby, ultimately choosing the name Julia. Despite her impending departure from the show, Natalie’s schedule remains packed, reports the Mirror.

Not only has Natalie been busy with her popular podcast Life With Nat and taking on roles in the BBC comedy Boarders, but she’s also gearing up to present a new Channel 4 consumer show titled What’s The Big Deal.

On top of her blooming career, she is focusing on “mum things” such as spending quality time with her two children. Engaged to cameraman Marc Humphries, Natalie is a proud parent to daughter Eliza from a previous relationship and Joanie with Marc.

Natalie expressed her love for family life: “I love being at home and just pottering. I have got an eight-year-old and a 14-year-old and the time goes so quickly. I want to pick the kids up from school. I want to be able to go to the school sports day.”

A fan of the great outdoors, Natalie, who has also completed the London Marathon, she has set her sights on intensifying her physical activity. She added: “Wellness is very important to me.. getting out more in the open air..

“I want to do more because I enjoy it. It is good to get out and get moving but there are still people who don’t do that. There’s a lot of sedentary people. I feel energised and I’d love to start running again but no marathons this year.”

The demise of beloved EastEnders character Martin Fowler during the soap’s live 40th anniversary episode drew in a viewership of 3.7 million on Thursday. The loss of one of the longest-standing characters left fans teary-eyed.

Actor James Bye, who has portrayed the popular character since 2014, took over from previous actors Jon Peyton-Price (1985-1986) and James Alexandrou (1996-2007). In the dramatic episode, Martin found himself trapped under a steel beam just after declaring his love for ex-wife Stacey Slater, played by Lacey Turner.

Despite rescue efforts, the character met a tragic end. This was the first live broadcast since 2015, and it saw ratings rise by about 1.5 million above the soap’s daily overnight average. However, these figures were significantly lower than the last live episode, which attracted more than 10 million viewers for the show’s 30th birthday.
