With Bradley Walsh embarking on an exciting new journey to Egypt to uncover the mysteries of the Pyramids, odds on the likelihood of him leaving The Chase have increased.

Although the 64-year-old presenter has no intention of leaving his role on The Chase, betideas.com shared current odds of him departing and which names are in the running to replace him, should he ever step down.

Bradley currently trades at 4/6 to depart the show amid a recent rise of uncertainty regarding his future, according to the website.

A list of potential replacements include his son Barney Walsh, who he currently presents BBC show Gladiators with, at odds of 5/1, while Stephen Mulhern falls in front with 2/1.

Furthermore, Roman Kemp and Alexander Armstrong are also in the running, with odds of 5/1 and 8/1, respectively.

Those with a seemingly lower chance of taking on the role include; Lee Mack, Ben Shephard, and Clara Amfo, all with odds of 9/1 or 10/1.

Lee Astley, a spokesperson for betideas.com, commented: “Bradley Walsh’s 16-year stint on The Chase could be coming to an end soon, with the presenter odds-on at 4/6 to leave the show anytime in 2025, and viewers seemingly fed up with his recent hosting duties.

“Should Walsh depart the programme, the most eye-catching name in the betting to replace him is his son Barney, who is 5/1 to step into his father’s shoes in the ITV series.

“Stephen Mulhern is the market favourite at 2/1 to become the show’s next presenter, with Roman Kemp (5/1) also in the running.”

Titled Bradley Walsh’s Egypt’s Cosmic Code, the host’s new three-part series looks set to dazzle viewers as they join him in exploring the mysteries of the Sphinx, including Tutankhamun’s tomb in Luxor.

In an exciting teaser, Bradley shares his passion for the subject: “I’ve had a fascination with Egypt and the pyramids for a very, very long time. It’s an anomaly, an absolute cornucopia of ideas and fantasies.”

As the historical backdrop of Cleopatra VII’s rule unravels through vivid scenes, voiceovers suggest that despite extensive studies, much remains unknown.

Questioning conventional wisdom, Bradley presents his alternative theories on who built the marvels: “It certainly wasn’t the ancient Egyptians, four and a half thousand years ago. I have different theories,” he shared.

The trailer gives glimpses of Bradley donning an Indiana Jones-style hat, showcasing his unique entertainment flair, and navigating a camel, making it clear he’s a fresh character in the tale of Egyptian history, both ancient and present.
