Team Canada will seek revenge on the United States in the highly anticipated final of the 4 Nations Face-Off on Thursday in Boston.
Team USA won round one in the tourney, beating Canada 3-1 in Montreal last Saturday. That game featured three fights in the opening nine seconds, and tensions have only risen since.
Defenceman Cale Makar is expected to dress for Canada after missing Saturday’s contest.
The same goalies are set to start: Connor Hellebuyck for the Americans and Jordan Binnington for Canada.
Of course, tonight’s battle extends beyond hockey.
Earlier today, the White House said it looks forward to the US beating the “soon-to-be 51st state.”
Former Hab PK Subban also came under fire for tweeting (X-ing?) that the “Trizzy Train” was coming in response to President Donald Trump saying he called the American hockey team to offer his support. Former NHLer Akim Aliu took exception to the tweet.
