Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three people being sought in an assault investigation.

Toronto Police said they responded to reports of an assault on Jan. 12 at about 11:10 p.m. in the Bay-Edwards Sts. area north of the Eaton Centre, where two people were walking home before being approached by the suspects.

Police said one of the suspects asked one of the victims if they wanted to see their “switch.” When they declined and tried to leave, one of the victims was punched in the back of the head before the other victim tried to intervene.

The other two suspects, police said, stepped in and began striking the victims, who were threatened with death.

The suspects fled from the area on foot, while the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The first suspect is 5-foot-10 with a medium build and black and orange Afro-style hair in a bun. They were wearing dark sunglasses, a black face mask, black bomber jacket, black gloves, black pants and black running shoes.
