A new theatre production in Newcastle has raised eyebrows by issuing a trigger warning specifically for Queen Camilla’s presence in its upcoming show about Princess Diana.
The Live Theatre’s production of “Diana: The Untold And Untrue Story” lists “Camilla Parker Bowles” among potential triggers for audiences.
The unusual warning appears alongside more standard theatre advisories including flashing lights, strong language, puppetry and audience participation.
An insider suggested to the Mail that the warning may be “tongue in cheek”.

The production features Princess Diana being played by Linus Karp in a unique theatrical blend of drag performance and multimedia elements.
The show invites audiences to “join Diana in heaven as she shares the untold and untrue tale of her extraordinary life”.
The production combines drag artistry with multimedia presentations, audience interaction and puppetry, all infused with what the theatre describes as “queer joy”.
The show promises a distinctly alternative take on the former Princess of Wales’s story, deliberately departing from historical accuracy.

The production comes to Live Theatre following the venue’s previous success with “Gwyneth Goes Skiing” by the same company, Awkward Productions.
The show has already achieved significant acclaim, having sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and winning multiple awards.
Live Theatre has scheduled the production to run from July 9-12 on Newcastle’s trendy Quayside.
The venue boldly markets the show as a “celebration of Ar Di that is as hilarious as it is tasteless”.

The production has already garnered critical acclaim, receiving a five-star review from Attitude magazine, which described it as “absurd, camp, chaotic, and hilarious”.
The show has completed a successful world tour prior to its upcoming Newcastle run.
The Live Theatre’s billing acknowledges the production’s irreverent approach, promoting it as a unique celebration of the people’s princess.
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:

Prince Harry’s past comments about Queen Camilla add context to the theatrical warning, having previously branded her as “the villain” and “dangerous” in his memoir Spare.
However, the Duke of Sussex has since distanced himself from negative portrayals of his stepmother.
“To be honest, she’s always been very close to me and William,” Harry said. “But no, she’s not the wicked stepmother, I’ll say that right now.”
