Marks and Spencer shoppers have praised the store for its thermal leggings, which some say are a “lifesaver.” As the weather remains cold across the country, staying warm while not compromising style is important for many fashion fans.

When temperatures drop, it can be difficult to know what to wear that not only keeps you warm but also looks good. Thankfully, Marks and Spencer sells a pair of thermal leggings that go with anything, look stylish and feature ‘heat technology’.

The retailer’s Heatgen Medium Thermal Brushed Leggings cost £16 and come in two coloursblack and navy. There are as many as nine sizes to pick from, starting from six to 22.

You could easily layer the leggings underneath a dress during a chilly night out on the town, or wear them under jeans while running errands on a cold morning. You could also wear them with a jumper, trainers, and a long coat during a walk. There’s always the option to leave them on around the house to stay warm without turning the heating on.

The “beautifully soft” Heatgen Plus Thermal Brushed Leggings feature a lightweight design with a stretchy base for flexible movement. They’re made from Japanese Heatgen fabric, which has a super-soft brushed inner layer designed to ensure you stay extra warm and comfortable on colder days.

The Heatgen Plus Thermal Brushed Leggings have more than 14,000 customer reviews, with an overall score of 4.6 stars out of five. In one five-star review, a shopper said: “These are just fantastic – one of the best things I’ve ever bought!”

Another put: “Very comfy and warm… A life saver during winter months.” A third wrote: “These leggings are really cosy and comfortable., I feel beautifully warm even when it’s very cold, and yet they’re not too hot indoors. I’ve bought more pairs because I like them so much.”

A fourth commented: “Purchased a black and navy pair in the autumn and have been so impressed that I reordered. They have washed and worn fantastically, are incredibly comfortable to wear and not a hint of the dreaded knee bag! They are also a lot warmer than standard m&s leggings.” Someone else said: “Great base layer. Soft, comfortable and warm. I layer under trousers and never feel cold.”

However, despite the sea of positive comments, there were a few that shared negative experiences. One customer claimed: “I am in the minority given the good reviews. These leggings are thin, hardly any brushed material inside. they show the mark of my knickers and every lump of my cellulite.” Another said: “Shiny material that I didn’t like so returned them.” A third added: “Bobbled on the first wear, very disappointed.”
