A special reunion episode filled with romance, drama, and unexpected turns is set to grace our screens, as Married At First Sight gears up for its anticipated catch-up instalment.

This reunion special will be broadcast on Monday (February 24) and features the season nine ensemble reuniting for an exclusive dinner party at a charming country retreat. But the question on everyone’s lips is, who has made it onto the guest list?

Confirmed to attend the event, that promises an evening brimming with drama and was taped back in October, includes Adam Nightingale, Hannah Norburn, Holly Ditchfield, Kieran Chapman, Kristina Goodsell, Lacey Martin, Nathan Campbell, Orson Nurse, Sacha Jones and Sionnain Carmichael.

A select group of cast members from the 2023 season will also join the reunion, merging participants from the two series. Returning to the fans’ delight are notable personalities such as Ella Morgan, Erica Roberts, Matt Pilmoor, Paul Liba, Shona Manderson and Tasha Jay.

Yet not all past participants were lucky enough to snag an invitation, as some well-known individuals did not make the cut.

For instance, Charlie Curtis, who was previously paired with Eve Reid on the show, shared her disappointment upon discovering she wasn’t included, reports the Daily Record.

Venting her frustration to MailOnline, she lamented: “I wasn’t invited. It really upset me; I was so upset when they told me I wasn’t going.

“I felt so disheartened. I wanted to go back with the girls, as I’m friends with them now, but no one saw any of us being friends on screen.”

Charlie and Eve, as one of the inaugural pairings to tie the knot on the series, sailed smoothly through their wedding only to hit troubled waters during their honeymoon in Mexico. So tumultuous was the experience that Eve saw fit to vacate their joint accommodation, citing issues in communication and trust.

The tensions between them escalated to a heated point where Charlie went as far as to hurl her wedding band at Eve in the midst of an altercation.

In the wake of recurring strife, both parties consented to conclude not just their stint on the programme but also their partnership during a Commitment Ceremony. In Charlie’s words: “I’m conflicted. Yes, it’s the right decision but it’s still tough walking away from people you have feelings for.”

Absentees from the reunion special will also include well-known participants such as Polly Sellman, Luke Debono, Richelle Cade, and Ross McCarthy among numerous others.
