Palace sources have downplayed reports of a planned US visit by King Charles and Queen Camilla, claiming no formal arrangements are in place.

A Palace official claimed there are no plans or preliminary discussions regarding a potential trip to America.

The source emphasised there is currently “no formal invitation” for a royal visit to the United States.

Any such plans would need to be considered within “the normal process and diary prioritisation review”, according to the Daily Beast, none of which has been undertaken for the coming year.

The initial reports of a planned US visit emerged in the Mirror.

However, a source close to the Palace told the Daily Beast that the US is not currently on the royal calendar.

The same source emphasised that whilst there remains “a willingness to travel when and where required”, this is always subject to standard protocols.

A friend of the King and Queen indicated that whilst Charles would be keen to participate in any UK charm offensive toward President Trump, everything depends on his cancer treatment.

Royal visits to the US can only occur at the request of the British Government, sources have explained.

Such diplomatic trips are designed to serve state purposes rather than personal ones, in line with constitutional monarchy protocols.

While the monarch has some input, they must ultimately act according to Government officials’ direction.

The King’s health remains a crucial factor in any potential travel plans, though Palace officials avoid directly addressing this subject.

A friend of the royal couple noted that Queen Camilla’s wishes would also need consideration, particularly following her recent battle with “an extremely nasty bout” of pneumonia after their Samoa tour.

The UK Government remains keen to maintain strong ties with President Trump, who has consistently shown admiration for the British Royal Family.

Trump has recently renewed his criticism of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Last week, the former president described Meghan Markle as “terrible” whilst expressing sympathy for Prince Harry.

Trump claimed he “felt so sorry” for Harry and had decided against deporting him.

Any potential royal visit would serve to strengthen diplomatic relations between the two nations, though sources continue to stress no official steps have been taken to arrange such a trip.

King Charles himself has shown awareness of health considerations affecting future plans.

During his visit to Samoa last year, the monarch made a poignant remark expressing his hope that he would “survive” long enough to return.
