An 80s themed silent disco is coming to Bristol Cathedral this summer. Hosted by Silent Discos in Incredible Places, the event in this an unconventional venue will see an ‘iconic’ playlist including the likes of 80s legends such as Queen, Prince, Madonna, George Michael, Michael Jackson, Madness, Bon Jovi, and more.
This event will see the Bristol Cathedral “illuminated like you’ve never seen it before”, organisers say. It will include some of the country’s best DJs playing power pop, stadium rock and 80s classics.
You’ll be able to select between three different channels of music through headphones, meaning you and your friends could be listening, and partying, to completely different tracks. And you’ll be able to sing your heart out as if nobody else can hear you.
Strictly an 18+ event, the Bristol Cathedral 80s silent disco will be taking place on Friday, August 8, with two session slots to choose from (6.30-9pm, 9.30pm-12am) and tickets starting from £29.72. VIP tickets are also available, priced at £36.59, giving you priority entry and an LED merch package.
According to the events page, there will be a fully stocked bar at the event. Disco-goers are also being urged not to wear high heels to the event, as they may cause damage to the cathedral flooring – you may be turned away and disallowed entry if you turn up in your heels.
