The winner of The Masked Singer UK was finally revealed on Saturday night’s ITV show, but fans were left underwhelmed by the result. Following weeks of captivating performances, three contestants remained: Wolf, Pufferfish, and Dressed Crab.
Wolf, who finished third, was unmasked as Marti Pellow. The remaining two contestants battled for the top spot, and when host Joel Dommett announced Pufferfish as the winner, viewers found out that Samantha Barks was behind the mask.
Meanwhile, Gregory Porter, a renowned singer, was revealed to be the runner-up Dressed Crab. Fans expressed their disappointment on social media, with many believing that Gregory Porter was robbed of the win.
One viewer commented: “Sorry, but now I really feel Gregory Porter was robbed.” Another wrote, “@GregoryPorter was robbed! Should’ve won #themaskedsingeruk.”
Others shared similar sentiments, saying: “They robbed you Dressed Crab.” Someone else commented: “Gutted … wanted Dressed Crab to win.”
However, some fans were thrilled with Samantha Barks’ victory, praising her incredible voice and performance, reports The Express.
One viewer congratulated her, saying: “@SamanthaBarks you were amazing on Masked Singer, your voice truly is so beautiful and incredible. You smashed it and rightly deserved the win.”

Despite coming in second, Gregory could not have been more complimentary about the show during his chat with host Joel Dommett, where he stated: “This is amazing, this is wild.
“I’m not going to lie. I had to get over a little bit of claustrophobia, you know, who needs oxygen? Who needs oxygen?!”
“This is extraordinary, this is a real moment for me. It’s fun, sometimes I’m singing all those serious songs but this was fun, this was just real fun!”
On the flip side, Samantha was ecstatic to emerge as the champion of this year’s series, with most judges having figured out her identity.
Talking about her stint on the show, Samantha revealed: “For me, because I’ve played Elsa (on the West End) for three years, it’s been so fun to just do lots of different stuff!
“Every week, I’ve wanted to do a new kind of style, a new kind of song, and that was really fun. Also, I feel like I’ve lived this double life, I’ve had this crazy experience but nobody in my life knows this! So I love it! It’s so secretive.”
