Prince Andrew faces a £150,000 bill to stop Royal Lodge from “spiralling out of control”, a property expert has exclusively told GB News.
The Duke of York has reportedly been doing his own gardening, with an insider revealing the grounds of the Windsor estate are in a “shocking state”.
Prince Andrew signed a 75-year lease with the crown estate in 2003, meaning the rarely seen prince is personally responsible for maintaining the property and the surrounding royal grounds.
A property expert from We Buy Any Home explained to GB News that the Duke of York would need “professional intervention” to maintain the 21 acres of the royal estate.

Terry Fisher told the People’s Channel: “Without regular attention, overgrowth can quickly spiral out of control, requiring professional intervention to restore order.
“Maintaining 21 acres of gardens at a property like Royal Lodge would typically require a dedicated team of four to six gardeners, depending on the complexity of the landscaping.
“Costs can vary, but hiring experienced gardeners could range from £30,000 to £40,000 annually per gardener, meaning the total annual maintenance bill could easily exceed £150,000.
“This would cover routine tasks like mowing, pruning, planting, and general upkeep to ensure the grounds remain in top condition.”
